Samsung’s new Poké Ball earphone charging case is only available in South Korea (for now)
Samsung has just announced a new charging case for its Galaxy Buds headphones: a replica of the Poké Ball, with a sticker of a Pokémon to decorate the case.
Unfortunately, this special limited edition charging case is only available in South Korea at the moment, and it’s too spicy. The case is listed on Samsung’s Korean website for 134,000 won, or around $105 / £85 – just over half of what the headphones (with case) themselves cost, at 219,000 won ( $170 / £138).
Earlier this year, Samsung also released a limited edition Pokémon-themed Galaxy Z Flip 3, which is one of those phones that folds in half. The Poké-phone was also only available in South Korea and is no longer sold on the website. It came with a bunch of accessories, ranging from a Pikachu keychain and Poké Ball holder to pre-installed Pokémon ringtones.
Back to the headphones case for now: the stickers you can get with the case are randomly chosen, and you’ll get one of the following:
- Mew (holographic)
If you fancy trying to grab one for yourself, good luck – but here’s the link to Samsung’s website, which currently says it’s ‘out of stock’ and ‘in the pipeline’ “.
