Jeevan pramaan Patra: Retirees can use home banking to submit an annual life certificate.

Retirees are now allowed to submit their Annual Life Certificate or Jeevan Pramaan Patra online. Many retirees have already submitted their certificate of life online since those aged 80 and over can submit it between October 1 and November 30.

Previously, they had to physically go to a bank, treasury or post office to present their certificate. According to the circular of Pensions and Retirees Welfare Department dated September 20, retirees can deposit their life certificate using the canvassing service of the banking alliance or the postal canvassing service for the deposit of the digital life certificate.

Digital Life Certificate Eligibility

According to the Jeevan Pramaaan website, “A retiree whose Pension Sanctioning Authority (PSA) is integrated with JeevanPramaan is eligible for Jeevan Pramaan. The list of integrated public service announcements can be found under the “Circulars” tab. on the portal https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in A retiree who is re-employed or remarried is not eligible to do Jeevan Pramaan i.e. Digital Certificate of Life.

Step 1: Download the Doorstep Banking app to submit a life certificate.

Step 2: Choose your bank for home service.

Step 3: Enter and validate your pension account number.

Step 4: Make payment to use the service, payment fees depend on the bank

Step 5: Once you submit your request, you will receive an SMS with the agent’s name.

The bank representative will come to your home to complete the life certificate deposit process.

Submit a Life Certificate through Home Banking via IPPB

India Post Payments Bank IPPB offers banking services as well as digital life certificate at your home with our Doorstep Banking (DSB) services.

This service is offered to both IPPB and non-IPPB users, according to the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) website. A customer can request a home visit from Postman/Grameen Dak Sevak in order to use the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) service. They can also call the nearest post office. The Post Office Department has also made it possible to schedule door-to-door requests using the Post Info app or website.

Note: A minimum fee of Rs 70 (including GST/CESS) will be levied for each successful build of DLC.
